Elena Maksimova, assistant professor in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Organized Crime and Criminology and also a Vice Dean for education at the Faculty of Law, University Goce Delcev – Stip.
Maksimova has finished her Bachelor, LL.M and PhD Studies at the Faculty of Law “Iustiniaus Primus”, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. The title of her PhD thesis is Female crime, with accent on victimological contribution. She has attended many conferences, round tables and trainings, home and abroad and she participates in different national and international research projects, among which in Jean Monnet projects. She is also trainer of students for participating in international competitions in human rights area (ECHR and jurisprudence of the Court). Her interest is in the criminal law area, criminology, victimology, penology, human rights and freedoms, international criminal law, and lately in criminological side of migration and asylum.
