I have 17 years (2003-2020) of practical national and international anti-corruption experience.
In 2011, the Parliament of Latvia appointed me to the post of the director of the Prevention and Combating Corruption Bureau (KNAB) of the Republic of Latvia (2011 – 2016).
Since the end of 2016 I have linked my professional activities with international work as anti-corruption expert of the Council of Europe (CoE) and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in the field of preventing and combating corruption in different countries, including CIS countries.
Also I have 6 years of teaching practice in the State School of Administration of Latvia on themes «Corruption prevention», «Prevention of Conflict of interest», «Prohibitions and restrictions to State officials» and others.
In September, 2017 as foreign lector I have prepared education programme and delivered professional development 3-days workshop for Ethics commissioners in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issue «Ethical values and conflicts of interests in the civil service. International and National experience».
Since 2018 I have been teaching at the Faculty of Law at the Turiba University (Latvia).
As international anti-corruption expert I worked with the OECD (in Kyrgyzstan – 2007), with the CoE (in the Ukraine – 2016, in Kyrgyzstan – 2017, Moldova and Russian Federation – 2017 and 2018) and with OSCE (in Uzbekistan – 2017 and 2018, in Tajikistan – 2019 and 2020).
I led a delegation of Latvia in GRECO (The Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) is the Council of Europe anti-corruption body) from 2012 till 2016.
I have two Master’s degrees: in justice and international law.
Author of the book „Restrictions and Prohibitions for Public Officials in Schemes”
I am currently studying for a PhD in International Law at Turiba University.
