Adriana Almasan

Adriana Almășan is a Professor of Civil Law and Competition Law. She is the director of the Master in Business Law of the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law. She held the position of director of the Master in EU Law and was a vice-dean at the same faculty. She previously taught at the College of European Union Law, University Paris I, Pantheon-Sorbonne and University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law.
She is the co-founder and the director of the “Centre for Competition Law Studies”, established by the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest. She was an invited professor and research fellow (Leibnitz University of Hannover, University of Florence, l’Institut de Recherche Juridique de la Sorbonne de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon). She is author and co-author of several books and articles on civil law, contract negotiation and competition law published by Springer, Europa Law, Cujas Editions, CH Beck and others. She sits in the scientific board of several law journals.
She practices law, currently as Managing Partner and coordinator of competition and M&A practice of Law Office “TAMC-Attorneys at Law” in Bucharest and she is also a member of the panel of arbitrators with the Romanian Court of International Commercial Arbitration by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania.
